Medical Director – Brentwood, TN
We are seeking a Part-Time Medical Director to join our team of medical professionals at Medi-Weightloss in Brentwood, TN.
This flexible role is ideal for a physician with an active practice or established presence in the Brentwood/Nashville area who wants to make a positive impact on the health of the local community.
The Medical Director works independently, with support from a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner and a Medical Assistant. The environment is fast-paced and the position is multifaceted.
Essential Job Functions
Review patient files in accordance with Tennessee state guidelines.
Oversee mid-level providers and clinical staff.
Participate in quality improvement, management, continuing education, and other patient care programs.
Assist with protocol development and delivery of staff training.
Provide clinical guidance and direction to staff and leadership.
Coordinate patient care and facilitate referrals as needed.
Advise on implementation of patient care and clinic policies.
Provide insight on market conditions and potential practice opportunities in the Brentwood area.
Maintain accurate and compliant medical records.
Participate in interviewing, hiring, and evaluation of clinic personnel.
Support patient communications and resolution of concerns.
Additional Duties
Document patient progress in EMR.
Conduct patient consultations and follow-ups.
Participate in refresher trainings (regional, onsite, boot camps, or e-learning).
Perform other clinical tasks necessary for day-to-day operations.
Requirements
Active Tennessee Medical License and DEA Certification (required).
Specialty in General Practice, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or OBGYN (preferred).
Active medical practice or residence in Brentwood or the Greater Nashville Area (preferred).
