Dental Insurance Coordinator Boutique Smiles Plantation, FL 33317 About the
Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized professional with strong communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with dental insurance coordination , treatment planning, and claims management, as well as proficiency in Open Dental software .
Key Responsibilities:
Verify insurance benefits, eligibility, and coverage for dental procedures (PPO/HMO) Submit and follow up on claims, appeals, and pre-authorizations Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient insurance records Explain treatment plans and financial options to patients clearly and professionally Coordinate closely with the clinical and front office teams to ensure a seamless workflow Collect co-pays, assist with accounts receivable, and manage outstanding balances Respond promptly to insurance inquiries and resolve billing issues Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and protect patient confidentiality
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in dental insurance billing and financial coordination Proficiency in Open Dental software is required Familiarity with CDT dental codes , insurance verification, and dental terminology Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Excellent customer service and communication skills Positive, team-oriented attitude Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus
