Front/Back Office Manager Medical Assistant Elite Heath Care and Wellness Services Fort Lauderdale, FL 33311 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Front/back Office Manager Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in providing quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical procedures and demonstrate excellent patient service skills. As a Front/back Office Manager Medical Assistant, you will work closely with healthcare providers to support patient care and assist in various clinical tasks. Duties Scheduling appointments. Front/back Manager medical assistants are responsible for confirming, canceling, and rescheduling appointments. Maintaining patient records. It is important to keep medical records up to date so that patients can receive the best care possible. Making and answering phone calls. Front/back Manager medical assistants are usually the first people that patients speak to when calling a medical office. Directing patients in the waiting room. This helps ensure proper patient flow in the waiting room and throughout the clinic. Communicating with patients. Front/back Manager medical assistants are involved in communicating important information to patients such as billing and scheduling. Working with billing and insurance. Paying for healthcare is often a complicated and stressful process for patients. Front/back Manager medical assistants can help patients understand what their insurance plans will and will not cover. Keeping the office organized and stocked. Not having adequate supplies can be inconvenient and, in some cases, disastrous. Helping patients fill out paperwork. Sometimes patients can have trouble filling out all the required paperwork during their visit. Experience The ideal candidate should have: 1+ years of experience in a clinical or office setting (front and/or back office) ICD-10, CPT’S/ HCPCS, Excel, Microsoft Word, Medical Terminology, 10-Key, Microsoft Team, Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial insurances Multitasking prioritization and deadline Strong organizational and time management skills Knowledge of EHR systems (e.g., Emedical, Epic, Athena, etc.) Strong organizational and interpersonal skills Experience in a Medical Office or clinical, preferably as a medical assistant. Familiarity with geriatrics and the unique needs of older patients. Strong skills in patient care, including the ability to administer medications safely.
