VETERINARY ASSISTANT MANAGER
Family Pet Medical Center 2750 North Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33306 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our veterinary clinic. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in veterinary care and management, ensuring that our practice runs smoothly while providing exceptional service to our clients and their beloved pets. This role requires a blend of leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for animal welfare. Duties Manage the day-to-day operations of the veterinary practice, ensuring efficiency and high-quality care. Supervise and train staff members in best practices for animal care and customer service. Oversee scheduling, inventory management, and supply orders to maintain optimal clinic functionality. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper aseptic techniques. Facilitate communication between veterinarians, staff, and clients to enhance service delivery. Maintain accurate records of patient care, treatments, and procedures performed. Implement policies and procedures to improve clinic operations and client satisfaction. Stay updated on veterinary terminology and advancements in animal husbandry practices. Experience Proven experience in a veterinary setting is essential; prior management experience is highly desirable. Familiarity with animal handling techniques, including animal catheterization and critical care protocols. Knowledge of laboratory procedures related to veterinary medicine. Experience in dog training or kennel management is a plus. Strong understanding of veterinary terminology to effectively communicate with staff and clients.
