About the role:
- This role will not be onboarded until July 29th 2025
- The Front Office Manager oversees all Front Office operations, including the Front Desk, Communications, Concierge, Bell, and Driveway teams, ensuring exceptional service and seamless guest experiences.
This role acts as the Manager on Duty in the absence of senior leadership and plays a key part in daily hotel operations. The ideal candidate excels at anticipating guest needs, delivering personalized service, and maintaining the highest standards in alignment with brand policies and service philosophy. This is a hands-on leadership position that includes managing front desk shifts and guiding team members to consistently exceed guest expectations.
What you will do:
- Be a part of the pre-opening team!
- Supervise, mentor, and manage the Front Desk team, including Assistant Front Office Managers and the Night Manager. Ensure smooth daily operations and seamless communication across shifts.
- Recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate team members, conducting performance reviews and implementing corrective action when necessary to maintain high service standards.
- Monitor staffing and operations in related departments to ensure consistency in guest service and adherence to operational standards.
- Handle guest concerns and complaints with professionalism and care, delivering personalized service and ensuring guest satisfaction through prompt resolution and follow-up.
- Coordinate daily arrivals and departures, manage room blocks, and oversee billing and special guest requests for VIPs, groups, and returning guests.
- Enforce financial procedures including managing paid-outs, petty cash, direct billing, and shift-end cashier audits. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies related to credit or billing.
- Act as the senior manager on duty in the absence of executive leadership, taking swift and appropriate action in emergency, safety, or guest-related situations.
- Personally assist with guest check-in and check-out as needed, ensuring a warm welcome, accurate billing, and efficient service throughout the guest’s stay.
- Utilize hotel systems and property management software to manage reservations, assign rooms, run reports, and support front desk operations.
What you bring:
- Prior experience in front office or hotel operations management required. Pre-opening experience a plus.
- Strong leadership and conflict-resolution skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Working knowledge of hotel property management systems (PMS)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Requires working knowledge of division operations as well as Four Seasons cultural and core standards, policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- This position requires an applicant with a flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
