Certified Medical Assistant Full Job Description Overview:
Under the direct supervision of the Office Manager Operations Manager, directs, coordinates and controls the clinical activities of his or her staff within an ambulatory clinic setting. Responsible for direct supervision of the clinical staff. Ensures adherence to all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Assists the Medical Director or the Manager in evaluation of assigned staff. Assists physicians in the provision of quality health care. Assist Director/Manager in ordering capital/new equipment. Assures Clinic has all necessary supplies. Assignments are performed appropriately to age and developmental level of patient being served.

Required Education:
GED/High School Diploma or graduate from accredited medical school
Preferred Education:
Associate degree or higher in healthcare or related field
Necessary Skills:
1. Adhere to hospital, JCAHO, HIPPA, Nursing standards and Florida Nurse Practice Act guidelines in providing patient care. 2. Familiarity with patient care equipment. 3. Seasoned interpersonal communication skills. 4. Working knowledge of PC word processing and spreadsheet programs. 5. Requires excellent decision-making skills and initiative.
Required Licensure/Certifications:
Medical Assistant Certification OR license to practice practical nursing (LPN) in the state of Florida OR graduate from accredited medical school BLS from the
American Heart Association or American Red Cross Required Experience:
3-5 years clinical experience
Preferred Experience:
Experience in an ambulatory or physician office setting
Supervision:
Supervisory responsibility of 7+ employees.
