Outpatient Manager, Advanced Practice Provider

JOB DESCRIPTION
Nemours Children’s Health Pensacola is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider Outpatient Manager to staff at Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Ascension Sacred Heart. This is a working Manager position with 80% clinical duties and 20% administrative/management duties.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for providing leadership for a team of Advanced Practice Providers and/or Specialty RNs in an area of specialized clinical practice.
Provides direct and indirect care to patients and their families in the outpatient setting. Acts as a resource, role model, and clinical leader for the patient care team.
Responsible for planning, development, and utilization of human and material resources to meet departmental needs.
Mentors and develops staff.
Participates in departmental and hospital programs for continuous improvement.
Participates in meeting goals of the department.
Completes timely documentation as required by departmental policy and Nemours standards.
Participates in daily rounds.
On-call required.
Qualifications:
Graduate of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation. Active license as a Physician Assistant in the State of Florida
Prior leadership experience preferred; experience may be combination of
RN + APP
experience Minimum of 5 years experience required
OR Active Advanced Practice Nurse Licensure/Physician Assistant Licensure, with or without prescriptive authority Current AHA BLS

Studer Family Children’s Hospital is the region’s only children’s hospital and is a full-service pediatric facility including a dedicated pediatric emergency department/trauma center, 48 general pediatric beds, 10 Hem/Onc beds and a 75 bed NICU. The hospital utilizes the Cerner EMR. Sacred Heart was founded by the Daughters of Charity in 1915. The Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital opened their doors on April 1, 1969.
