Dental Practice Treatment Coordinator Job Description:

The Dental Practice Treatment Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring patients understand their treatment needs and financial responsibilities while delivering exceptional customer service. This individual is responsible for presenting treatment plans, discussing payment options, scheduling procedures, and maintaining strong communication between patients, clinical staff, and the front office team. The ideal candidate is friendly, takes initiative, organized, knowledgeable, and passionate about providing the highest quality of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Present treatment plans to patients in a clear, professional, and compassionate manner. Explain and oversee insurance coverage, estimated costs, payment options and collections while ensuring compliance with practice policies. Coordinate patient appointments, follow-ups, and case timelines. Answer questions related to dental procedures, fees, and policies. Build trust with patients to increase case acceptance. Follow up on outstanding treatment plans and pending appointments. Assist with insurance verification and authorization when needed. Document all conversations, plans, and financial agreements in patient records. Work closely with dentists, hygienists, and administrative staff to ensure continuity of care. Maintain confidentiality and ensure HIPAA compliance.

Patient Account Management:

Maintain accurate patient financial records and ensure confidentiality. Communicate with patients regarding their accounts, payment options, and financial assistance programs.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with the dental team to coordinate and ensure a seamless patient experience.

Qualifications and Requirements:

3 years Dental Front Office Experience is a MUST. High energy, self-motivated, interested in learning and growing in the position. Treatment Plan Presentation Experience. Proficient in dental software and billing systems (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft). Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. Ability to Use Microsoft Suite; Excel and Google spreadsheets. Team Player with strong verbal and written communication skills. Has experience with cutting edge technology and computer skills. Knows how to create a 5 star patient experience every time. Focused on a vision of providing an unprecedented level of care to patients. Building patient rapport. Committed to thinking outside the box to give patients an exceptional experience every time. An outgoing, social person with a heart to help patients.

Work Environment:

Fast-paced dental office setting. Interaction with patients, dental professionals, and insurance representatives.
