The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing insurance processes within our dental office, ensuring accurate handling of dental records, insurance verification, and coding. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and compliance with HIPAA regulations, making it essential for maintaining the integrity of patient information and facilitating smooth operations within our dental office. Duties Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to appointments. Manage and maintain accurate dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Process insurance claims, ensuring proper coding using ICD-9 and ICD-10 standards. Communicate effectively with patients regarding their insurance inquiries and coverage details. Collaborate with dental providers to ensure accurate documentation and coding for services rendered. Assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues related to insurance claims. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in insurance policies, regulations, and procedures. Provide support to the medical office team as needed, contributing to a positive patient experience.
