We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Veterinary Inventory Manager to join our team and ensure smooth operations behind the scenes.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of inventory, including ordering, receiving, storing, and distributing veterinary supplies, medications, and equipment. Track and maintain accurate inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstock. Collaborate with veterinarians and technicians to forecast supply needs. Implement and monitor inventory control procedures, including expiration checks for medications. Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure the best pricing and terms. Manage budgets and control costs related to medical and office supplies. Keep detailed records of inventory, purchase orders, and invoices. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for controlled substances and medical products. Conduct regular audits and provide reports to management.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in veterinary, medical, or pharmaceutical inventory management preferred. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Knowledge of veterinary medications and equipment is an advantage. Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
