Full Job Description Overview:
The Practice Leader II supervises assigned staff. Working under moderate supervision, this position collaborates with the team members to address performance issues, develop action plans, and facilitate the onboarding of new staff, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), and physicians, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support for their work.
Responsibilities:
Works with administrative and clinical staff to recruit, hire, and terminate personnel as needed to maintain efficient workflows, ensures adherence to policies, and schedules coverage for vacant positions. Reviews timekeeping (Kronos), conducts employee evaluations, utilizes iCompass, and conducts stay interviews to support staff development and retention. Trains new employees in all related registration and other administrative workflows. Ensures a positive guest experience by enforcing Steps of Service protocols and deescalating situations when necessary, enhancing patient satisfaction and clinic reputation. Helps monitor team workflows as volume and staffing require, contributing to efficient clinic operations, and manages the ordering and maintenance of office and clinical supplies as needed. Implements performance improvement activities to enhance clinic efficiency and patient care quality, aligning with industry standards. Supervises established protocols for collecting and posting co-pays, payment processing and review of records for bad debt. Ensures adherence to No Surprise Act. Ensures accurate cash drawer and leads the preparation of daily deposits and close processes. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent; Graduate of a certified medical practice training course MGMA Principles Practice Management Certificate or Practice Management Institute CMOM certification.
Preferred:
Associate Degree preferably in business, finance or healthcare related field. With degree, may complete PPMC within 90 days of hire.
EXPERIENCE
Required:
Three years proven medical practice experience; Proficiency in EPIC Cadence/Prelude Customer service experience in a healthcare setting
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING
Required:
If no degree, must have MGMA Principles Practice Management Certificate or Practice Management Institute CMOM certification at time of hire. With degree, may obtain PPMC within 90 days of hire.
