Job Description
Medical Practice Manager Great Valley Medical Associates, PC Paoli, PA 19301 This individual plays a crucial role overseeing every aspect in the medical practice and must demonstrate strong communication and customer service skills, supervisory knowledge and experience, and the ability to multitask. Must have at least 5 years of experience and a degree in Healthcare Management.
Specific responsibilities include:
Manage finances for practice; monitor accounts receivable, profit & loss statements, unpaid bills balance, calculate/report monthly & annual budget numbers Establish, verify, & update online credentialing files through CAQH for each physician Enter/post bills, create/print checks, submit for payment, & pay refund requests Process payroll; compile/complete timesheets, send to payroll, verify completed payroll submission, ensure funds are available for transfer, post payroll, & complete reports Order supplies, vaccines, & equipment, analyze vaccine orders, costs, usage, etc. Manage all aspects of banking; post transactions, prepare, scan, & submit deposits, post bank reconciliations, transfers, reports, & process debit/credit, or lines of credit Update financial info into Quickbooks, enter bills, checks, ledger entries, back-ups, payroll, & monthly/quarterly/yearly reports, coordinate with accountant on budget & tax processing Organize doctor & staff meetings, gather input, create reports, & provide documentation Manage dental, health, life, & disability insurances for providers & staff, coordinate with ATR on 401(k) plan, submit enrollments/disbursements, update changes, salaries, distribute notices, and create & submit year-end compliance testing & allocation data Monitor, update, troubleshoot, & send email invites to patients for FMH patient portal; update user info in Navinet, Pear, & Availity, monitor insurance updates, & print monthly capitation rosters Manage contracts for participating insurance companies, MLH Realty, & Vendors, keep physicians & staff informed Maintain, post, & update government compliance documentation, create/update policies, office manual, job descriptions, agreements, training, etc. Compile/perform staff reviews, monitor vacation schedules & ensure staff/duties are covered Provide patient data for chart reviews (Hedis, incentive programs, insurances, etc.); compile, update, & submit data for MLHPP/DVACO, coordinate & attend required meetings Enter/update demographic data into Veradigm (PM & Clinical); set up passwords, train staff, troubleshoot issues & coordinate with support, maintain agreements, & create reports Provide coverage for front staff, scheduling, records, billing, referrals/pre-certs, etc.
