Veterinary Practice Manager PetSmart Veterinary Services – Springfield Springfield, PA 19064 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our veterinary clinic. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess strong leadership skills to manage our team effectively. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day operations of the veterinary practice, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of care. Supervise and train staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting professional development. Oversee scheduling, inventory management, and client communications to enhance practice efficiency. Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations and standards, including maintaining accurate medical records. Implement protocols for animal care, including animal catheterization, restraint, and husbandry practices. Collaborate with veterinarians on critical care cases and laboratory procedures to support patient health. Develop and manage budgets while monitoring financial performance of the practice. Promote client education on pet health and wellness, including dog training techniques. Conduct weekly staff meetings. Requirements Proven experience in a veterinary setting with strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and critical care practices. Familiarity with laboratory procedures and aseptic techniques is highly desirable. Skills in animal husbandry and restraint techniques are essential for this role. Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills to effectively manage staff and client relationships.
