The ideal candidate shall possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of medical office management. The Practice Manager will work closely with healthcare professionals to streamline operations, improve overall practice efficiency, and boost optical sales. Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the medical practice, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements including HIPAA and JCAHO standards. Manage staff, training, and performance evaluations to foster a productive work environment. Implement efficient practice management systems to optimize workflow and enhance patient experience. Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure high-quality patient care and effective communication within the team. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure adherence to best practices in medical management. Utilize software such as Officemate for scheduling, billing, and patient management. Develop and manage budgets, monitor expenses, and implement cost-effective strategies. Collaborate with managed care organizations to negotiate contracts and improve service delivery. Work with vendors in purchasing of products. Experience Proven experience in medical office management or practice management is a must. Familiarity with optometry / optical settings is preferred. Knowledge of relevant regulations including HIPAA and JCAHO standards is required. Experience with practice management software such as Officemate is a plus. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively and fairly. Background as an optician or practice manager is advantageous. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with staff, patients, and external sources.
