Job Description

Medical Records Specialist 2.7 2.7 out of 5 stars 1116 Lucerne Ter, Orlando, FL 32806 Women’s Care, founded in 1998, is a leading women’s healthcare group in the United States, dedicated to providing the highest quality of care for women through their reproductive years and beyond. With 100+ locations and over 400 OB/GYNs and specialists across the country, Women’s Care provides comprehensive patient care in obstetrics, gynecology, gynecologic oncology, urogynecology, gynecologic pathology, breast surgery, genetic counseling, maternal fetal medicine, laboratory services, and fertility. The Medical Records Specialist maintains patient files and statistics, responds to requests for medical records, and performs clerical duties within the clinic. Maintains patient files on electronic medical record application (eCW). Responds to written or telephonic requests for medical records in a timely manner. Responds to subpoenas according to division standards. Retrieves patient information as directed. Communicates problems or irregularities according to established procedures. Serve as back-up to front office staff (reception, check-in, check-out, etc.) to cover lunch breaks and/or absences. Routes incoming faxes appropriately. Completes patient forms as requested. Demonstrates and embodies the Women’s Care mission and core values. Compliance with all HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Some knowledge of medical records maintenance is required. Medical front office experience preferred. Ability to communicate in an effective manner. Ability to use a computer and enter data in electronic medical management application; eClinicalWorks preferred. Excellent organizational skills; attention to detail in deadline-driven environment. Must be dependable, reliable, and punctual.
