Medical Records 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars 519 Mt Pleasant Road SW, Thomson, GA 30824 We are looking for an Medical Records Coordinator at our Thomson office location to create new medical records and retrieve existing medical records by gathering appropriate record folders and contents. This individual will need to be very detail oriented, be able to multi- task, be highly motivated and have exceptional customer service skills! This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday from 8a-5p! Medical Records Coordinator responsibilities are as follows: File and Audit medical records regularly and report any problems found to an administrator. Support the Nursing staff on a daily basis to review and maintain the medical filing system to assure the retrieval of any medical records at a moment’s notice. Initiates the medical records by creating and processing the patient care record folder. Keep administrators informed by communicating availability or unavailability of medical records. Maintains continuity of work operations by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Maintains patient confidence by keeping patient records information confidential Accept and process agency communications. Obtain all correspondence through the United States Postal service. Strengthen daily operations by becoming a backup for the Lead Scheduler and Telephony Manager. Maintain updated information in software programs and assist in the uploading information as requested by supervisor. Follow all HIPAA Rules and Regulations Answer the phone, by the third ring, in a positive and professional manner at all times. Assure calls and messages are delivered appropriately to operations/owner Assure all calls from case managers, physicians, state personnel, and clients or families with concerns are immediately directed to management Rotate on call duties with co-workers. Assure office is run in a professional and productive manner. Report any problems. Represent the agency at all times in a professional and loyal manner. Any other duties as assigned by management to meet the needs of the Agency as a whole. Works primarily in corporate office. Travels to meetings or other sites as requested
