The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining medical records in compliance with regulations and standards. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to work efficiently within a medical office environment. The Records Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring that patient information is accurate, secure, and accessible. Responsibilities Maintain and organize patient medical records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Review and verify the completeness of records, making necessary corrections as needed. Process incoming records requests in a timely manner while adhering to privacy regulations. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to input, update, and retrieve patient information. Collaborate with medical staff to ensure proper documentation practices are followed. Assist in training new staff on record management procedures and systems. Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations regarding medical records management. Experience Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology and understanding of medical records systems is essential. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in using computer systems and software related to record management.
