MEDICAL RECORDS REPRESENTATIVE

OVERVIEW

This position is responsible for extracting medical records from hospital EMRs for different departments within thepany by IDX requests, ETM System, Claims or Insurance request by correspondence. Employee must have goodanizational skills and be flexible. In addition, time management is very important.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Completes medical record requests from the ETM system as needed for insurancepanies and various departments onsite and offsite.
• Completes paper requests received thru postal mail.
• Completes requests received by .
• Access hospital websites to print records for requests.
• Print records from Onbase Scanning.
• Complete all requests by returning to the requestor, attaching necessary forms, or submitting with claim.
• Is responsible for managing their own remote access information, both setting it up and keeping it up to date.
• Maintain a daily production log.
• All other responsibilities as requested by management.

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

• This job is performed in a well-lighted, moderate office setting.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Job Requirements:

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months experience working with insurance in an office or hospital environment is
  helpful.
• Excellentanizational skills.
• Requiresputer experience.
• Able to stay focused and follow through with theplete assignment to the end.
