This role is responsible for workflow management, quality assurance, training, and ensuring adherence to confidentiality standards and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Supervision & Leadership Manage, support, and evaluate performance of transcription staff. Coordinate daily workflow to meet turnaround time standards. Provide ongoing coaching and professional development. Quality Control Review transcribed documents for accuracy, consistency, and completeness. Implement QA protocols and track key performance indicators. Address and correct errors in transcription in collaboration with staff. Operational Management Develop and maintain transcription procedures and guidelines. Ensure adherence to HIPAA and company confidentiality policies. Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to resolve documentation issues. Training & Onboarding Train new transcriptionists on software, formatting standards, and compliance. Keep team informed of updates in clinical documentation requirements. Qualifications Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or related field preferred. Relevant experience accepted in lieu of degree. 2+ years of experience in medical transcription or medical office staff experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory role. Knowledge of medical terminology, EMR systems, and HIPAA compliance. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
