Ongoing Job Description:

The HIM Technician performs clerical and technical duties associated with medical records processes and procedures.

Responsibilities include:

Retrieval, preparation, scanning, imaging, filing, quality review, and indexing of paper documents. Operating equipment and handling detailed technical aspects of assigned duties. Ensuring confidentiality practices are followed.

Preferred Qualifications:

Hospital experience Sense of urgency regarding productivity High attention to detail Proven ability to multi-task Ability to follow written and verbal directions Comfortable with fast-paced changes in priority

Responsibilities:

Pick up records from patient units upon discharge and bring them to the HIM floor. Prepare and scan records. Repair and re-sticker downtime charts. Perform other miscellaneous tasks as needed for project completion.

Qualifications & Requirements:
