Purpose :
Responsible for accurately filing records into the patient electronic health record in a timely manner ensuring proper routing to Provider for review and signature.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities :
Receives, sorts, and distributes records received in the department in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with department work assignments. Accurately scans and files records in the electronic health record daily ensuring medical records and other documents are available to clinical staff in the electronic health record in a timely manner as established by department protocols. Receive and follow work schedule/instructions from supervisor and as outlined in established policies and procedures. Assist in developing procedures to ensure records are properly completed, assembled, indexed, etc., before filing to the electronic health record. Maintains patient confidentiality by keeping patient record information confidential. Serves and protects the clinic community by adhering to professional standards, clinic policies and procedures, and federal, state, and local requirements. Enhances department and clinic reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Ability to work independently and as a team player. Communicates with coworkers and with clinical staff in a professional manner.
