Medical Records Clerk Position Available In Bergen, New Jersey

Job Description:

Duration:

3 Months Contract (Possible extension)

JobDescription:

To ensure that the medical record is thorough andcomplete; and to ensure that all documents are obtained, filed, andmaintained in the medical record according to Agency, departmentand regulatory standards

Responsibilities:

Send and receive medicalrecords for the Hematology and Oncology department Will receive upto 20-40 medical request per day Work hand and hand with PatientNavigator.

Required Skills and Abilities:

Ability to workindependently, prioritize effectively, and make sound decisions.

Good judgement skills. Demonstrated customer service andorganizational skills. Demonstrated proficiency in spelling,punctuation, and grammar skills. Ability to persuade, negotiate, orinfluence others. analytical or critical thinking skills. Abilityto handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.

Required Software and Tools :

EMR experience (preferably inAthena), Medical terminology, Clerical skills/ computer knowledge,Ability to analyse data, Ability to work cooperatively with membersof the healthcare delivery team

Education:

Required Education Leveland Degree Type :

HS Diploma or equivalent and 2 years’ experiencein medical records/health information management

Experience:

2years’ experience in medical records/health information management
