Birmingham, AL 35209 Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team in a fast-paced medical office environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative support, ensuring smooth operations within the clinic, and delivering excellent customer service to our patients. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk operations efficiently. Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare provider Handle patient check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accurate data entry into computerized systems. Maintain patient records, including updating information Assist with medical billing processes, including verifying insurance coverage and processing payments. Answer phone calls professionally, addressing inquiries and directing calls to appropriate staff members. Provide administrative support as needed, including filing, faxing, and managing correspondence. Ensure the reception area is tidy and welcoming for patients. Requirements Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role within a dental clinic is preferred. Proficiency in using electronic health record systems Familiarity with medical scheduling procedures is highly desirable.
