Practice Manager Position Summary:

The Appointment Scheduler accurately records patient information, prevent double-bookings, and route patient calls to the correct department or individual. The Appointment Scheduler position requires close attention to detail, impeccable phone etiquette, and working knowledge of common medical terminology. The Appointment Scheduler will also be cross-trained to support the Front Desk Receptionists with check-in, scheduling and additional duties as needed.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Promptly and professionally answer telephone calls, route calls appropriately, or redirect as needed. Greet patients and visitors while providing assistance in a pleasant and friendly manner. Direct to the appropriate greeting areas. Screen visitors for solicitation. Schedule patient appointments accurately according to guidelines as well as policy and procedures. Maintain follow up and wait lists as appropriate. Completes assigned tasks in a timely and thorough manner. Cross trained on Front Desk Receptionist duties Review collection balances for leadership Other duties as assigned.

Skills/qualifications:
Required:

1 year of working experience in a medical office/environment.

Required:

2-3 years of experience as a phone receptionist. Call Center experience is a plus! Strong customer service skills. Comfortability with multi-tasking with close attention to detail. Friendly, outgoing, team-player attitude. Comfortable with learning new software systems. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply to learn more about all the position has to offer!
