The OpportunityResponsible for greeting donors at the plasmacollection center and conducting a series of registrationprocedures to verify donor suitability for the plasma pheresisprocess.

You will report to the Assistant Center Manager.

TheRole In compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs),assists qualified donors in completing the screening process. Thescreening procedures includes but are not limited to: assessing theself-administered health history, answering basic medical questionsassociated with the donation process, referring donors to medicalstaff when appropriate and performing health screening proceduressuch as blood pressure, pulse, weight, temperature. Performs fingerstick to obtain sample to obtain donor’s hematocrit and totalprotein levels. Upon completion of the appropriate training, may educate newdonors on the use of therapeutic products made from donated plasma.

This includes explaining the screening process, the healthscreening tests performed, the appointment system, donation fees,center policies, proper nutrition and any other informationpertinent to the donor. Ensure that all donor questions areanswered timely, accurately and professionally. May be involved in registering applicant and transfer donorsbased upon completion of appropriate training and operational needsof the center. May answer the telephone and answer callers question ortransfer call to appropriate staff member. Maintain alertness and awareness to any reaction by a donor mayhave during or after the pheresis process and notifies appropriatestaff. Alerts Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues. Ensure the accurate recording of donor data in the electronicdonor information management system as outlined in the SOPs. Understand the policies and procedures associated with hyperimmune programs at the center if applicable.9 Maintains cleanefficient work environment and ensures sufficient operatingsupplies and forms are available as needed. Follows all HealthSafety & Environmental (HSE) and Occupational Safety and HealthAdministration (OSHA) policies and procedures. Promote safety inall actions. Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor and centerinformation. May be cross-trained in other areas to meet the needs of thebusiness. Bilingual skills may be required, at the discretion of theorganization, to meet the needs of the business. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Your skills andexperienceEducationHigh school diploma or equivalentrequiredExperience Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical orcustomer service related position, preferably in medical or healthprovider environment or equivalent combination of education andexperience Will perform basic math calculationsWorking Conditions Understand, remember and apply oral and/or writteninstructions Understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines Must be able to see and speak with customers and observeequipment operation.
