@ soflopt_sport+ @soflopt_rehab We are looking for someone who is willing to travel between locations 224 SE 9th st Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316 and 6000 N Federal Highway , Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308 when needed. This role requires excellent client service skills, accommodating and communicating information to patients, as it pertains to their visit and coverage. While maintaining a positive, helpful attitude and approach in providing excellent customer service to all customers. Navigates through different insurance websites for eligibility, authorizations, and payments. Contact patient’s insurance company to verify coverage, initiate authorizations, provide clinical documentation and follow up on previously submitted prior authorizations. Process authorizations electronically, utilizing payer portals, fax, or telephone working with the payers to secure authorizations. Review and verify all insurance plans and confirm patient’s eligibility and benefits specific to specialty. Receive and respond to various inquiries and questions in a pleasant and helpful manner. Determine the financial status of the patient and or guarantor and complete all financial/insurance-related functions. Collect money due from patients. Schedule and reschedule patient appointments. Check emails on a regular basis. Document findings and all pertinent information in the notes section of the patient’s case and appointment notes in a thorough and clear manner. Issue patient refund through our Merchant service account. Verify authorization dates & visits authorized confirm they are processed correctly by the third-party payers and reflected correctly in EMR system. Works well in a team environment to accomplish common tasks to solve problems and enhance the smooth and efficient flow of the practice. Accepts special task as assigned and completes them in an efficient and timely manner. Reviews clinical records for completeness including authorization, signatures, missing data and other patient information. Answers multiple telephone calls, responds to questions, directs calls, and documents messages in patient’s case notes. Obtain authorization renewals, verify physician written orders are active, and certification of medical necessity and or detailed written order is in place. Maintain the confidentially of client’s records, progress notes and any related work. Maintain a professional appearance and attitude. Must be organized and detail-oriented. Must be able to work in a fast-paced high-energy environment. Excellent communication and customer service. Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred. Excellent computer skills including typing dictations, excel, and Word.
