Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Medical Office Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent time management and communication skills, capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced medical environment. This role requires advanced computer proficiency and the ability to work with medical software systems for scheduling and data entry. A typical work week will be 30+ hours. You must be able to work any weekday (M-F) between 8am and 5pm.
Compensation:
$22 – $24 hourly, based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage high call volumes while maintaining professionalism and efficiency. Schedule and coordinate patient appointments using electronic medical record (EMR) software. Perform accurate and timely data entry into the medical system. Provide courteous and patient-focused communication, even in challenging situations. Maintain organization in a busy medical office, prioritizing tasks effectively. Perform well under pressure while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. Coordinate communication between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
Requirements:
Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Patience and professionalism when interacting with patients, including those who may be difficult or distressed. Ability to work independently and take initiative in problem-solving.
