Job Description
Medical Receptionist Parkinson’s Disease Treatment Center of SW Florida Port Charlotte, FL 33980 The Medical Receptionist is responsible for performing all front desk operations related to patient check-in and check-out processes. This includes collecting co-payments, collecting and verifying insurance, scheduling appointments, answering phones, managing referrals, outgoing and incoming medical records request, and providing outstanding customer service. The medical receptionist follows all policies, procedures and completes other clerical duties as assigned.
General Duties:
Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and route messages appropriately. Maintain a clean and organized front desk area. Ensure HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality. Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting. Familiarity with Athena EHR systems. Strongly Preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to multitask in a very fast-paced environment. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
