Medical Receptionist JobDescription/Summary:

We are looking for a Medical Receptionist tosupport our medical office. Patients, visitors and medical staffwill turn to you for information and help with administrativeissues. Your goal will be to ensure the smooth workflow of ourmedical facilities, so that our patients receive the best possiblecare. Serves patients by greeting and helping them, schedulingappointments, and maintaining records and accounts. Welcomespatients and visitors in person or on the telephone, and answeringor referring inquiries. Keeps patient appointments on schedule bynotifying provider of patient’s arrival, reviewing service deliverycompared to schedule, and reminding providers of service delays.

Ensures availability of treatment information by filing andretrieving patient records. Maintains patient accounts byobtaining, recording, and updating personal and financialinformation. Protects patients’ rights by maintainingconfidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.

Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stockto determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placingand expediting orders for supplies, verifying receipt of supplies,and scheduling equipment service and repairs.

Qualifications:

Highschool diploma or GED required 1 years of experience as a MedicalReceptionist Knowledge of medical terminology and EMR systemsAbility to communicate clearly and effectively with patients andother external parties in a courteous and friendly manner at alltimes Must be able to pass background check and drug test
