Description We are looking for an experienced Medical Front Desk Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Palmetto, Florida. This role is essential for ensuring smooth daily operations at the front desk, including patient interaction, scheduling, and administrative tasks. Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism and warmth as they arrive.
- Manage appointment scheduling, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Process patient payments, including copays, and maintain financial records.
- Handle inbound calls, providing assistance and information promptly.
- Maintain patient charts and records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Ensure compliance with office protocols and HIPAA regulations.
- Support administrative tasks such as billing functions and data entry.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to address patient needs.
- Occasionally assist at alternate locations based on operational requirements. Requirements
- Proven experience in a medical front desk or similar role.
- Proficiency in EHR systems such as Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, Dentrix Dental Software, or Eaglesoft.
- Strong customer service skills and a patient-focused attitude.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with billing functions and chart management.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Business casual attire required for the role.
