Dental Patient Coordinator Dr. Patty Miami 530 NW 54th Street, Miami, FL 33127 Our Cosmetic Dental practice is seeking an outstanding individual to provide extraordinary service for our patients in the treatment planning and collections service area. Description:

Responsible for new patients’ smooth transition into the practice, for existing patients’ ongoing and pending dental care along with communication with patients during treatment. Make quality dentistry financially available to patients and communicates with patients regarding their treatment plan, helps find the best way to finance the recommended treatment and makes appropriate financial arrangements with patients.

Key Tasks:

Patient Management Greet new patients Answer and direct incoming calls in a courteous and professional manner Strive to minimize the amount of time clients are placed on hold Communicate messages to appropriate parties in a timely manner Scheduling and confirming appointments Entering patient information into the office system Perform other administrative tasks as required by management Pull X-rays as appropriate Review health histories Set up consultation room for consult appointments Maintain a professional reception area/office (organize patient education materials and magazines, straighten up the facility, report any larger maintenance issues to administrative assistant for follow-up) Securely store and handle patient records in compliance with legal requirements, including HIPAA privacy and security regulations Treatment plan chairside with Drs Assist patients with insurance questions related to dentistry services received by the doctor Bill insurance providers and follow up on payments. Billing to client and contact debtors (clients and insurances) to recover money owed on past due accounts. Discuss making payment arrangements and negotiate settlement agreements. Present treatment plans to patients Make financial arrangements on all patients according to our financial policy Arrange payment plans with patients Document the payment option selected by the patient Financial arrangements must be made after the exam and consultation and prior to treatment Obtain a signed financial agreement if you decide to offer financing to the patient; Specify number of payments and due dates. Monitor payments Record all financial verbal discussions with patient in the chart and enter this information in the computer Prepare and deliver a daily financial statement to the employer Book the first appointment and arrange for subsequent hygiene appointments Call patients after a difficult treatment visit Be an active participant in team meetings Perform other tasks as assigned by the dentist Be prepared to quantify referral sources, dollars diagnosed; dollars accepted; percent accepted; dollars completed; percentage completed; actual production compared to monthly goals

Recall Patients:

Check chart for any incomplete treatment two days prior to recall appointment Verify chart has complete insurance information Go over treatment to date with the patient and assess attitude toward any incomplete treatment. Update health history Estimate costs of today’s treatment Make yourself available to recalculate financial arrangements as needed Contact patients when pre-authorization is received and proceed with scheduling To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements:

Extremely strong writing skills. Ability to write letters, presentations and other written communications Must be able to work within deadlines and execute in a fast-paced environment Must be able to manage multiple projects at the same time and be flexible to accommodate last minute changes Good interpersonal skills to maintain effective rapport with patients, dentists, other staff members and community Effective verbal skills to communicate with patients Knowledge of dental terminology

Job Types:

$15.00 – $22.00 per hour
