LOCATION (FTL/NMB) Eye Centers of South Florida exists to provide exceptional eye care to our patients. We are looking for a Medical Front Desk / Receptionist / Biller with previous experience. Exceptional customer service skills and a positive attitude is a must! Bilingual in Spanish/ English is a plus! The ideal candidate must be able to multi-task, is very organized, has excellent communication skills, handles stress, and possesses a desire to help people (great sense of humor is a plus!) RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Everything required ensuring the smooth functioning of a VERY busy front desk. Provide excellent customer service to patients in person and on the phone. Answer phones, schedule appointments, direct calls to the appropriate area, take messages. Computerized appointment scheduling (Avisena/Medusind software) Collect demographic and insurance information. Verify Insurances. Post charges, collect and post copayments. Coding, Modifier Knowledge, Superbill Batching Having an ability to multi-task and solve problems Having experience and knowledge of payment posting and adjustments Having good customer service skills Follow up with patients regarding appointments, balances etc. Maintains efficient patient flow. Pull patient charts, set up charts, re-file charts. Other duties as required.
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS
• A strong emphasis on customer service. An outstanding work ethic, responsible and self-motivated. Outstanding ability to communicate at all levels – with patients and physicians. Effective handling of sensitive issues. Experience with medical scheduling software. EMR knowledge a plus. Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding required. Understanding of insurance billing helpful A minimum of 2 years of front office experience This is a full-time position. Compensation commensurate with experience.
