This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience from the moment they enter our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, a thorough understanding of medical office procedures, and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Duties Greet patients upon arrival and assist with the check-in process. Collect and verify patient information, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Manage front desk operations, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and responding to inquiries. Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality at all times. Provide clerical support for medical staff, including data entry and filing. Assist with coding processes using ICD-9 standards as needed. Utilize Meditech or similar electronic health record systems for patient management. Collaborate with other departments to facilitate seamless patient care and office management. Address any patient concerns or issues promptly and professionally. Qualifications Previous experience in a front desk or medical administrative support role is preferred. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical office procedures is essential. Strong clerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Knowledge of coding practices, particularly ICD-9, is a plus. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to enhance communication with diverse patient populations. Proficiency in using electronic health record systems such as Meditech is advantageous. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
