The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative support in a fast-paced medical environment. This role involves managing front desk operations, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations, and facilitating smooth communication between patients and healthcare providers. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression of the practice. Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar using office management systems. Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff members. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is up-to-date. Process patient forms and insurance information, verifying eligibility and coverage details. Assist with billing inquiries and coordinate with the billing department as needed. Utilize NextGen to manage patient data effectively. Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless operations within the office. Skills Proficiency in medical administrative support functions, including front desk operations. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality. Familiarity with medical terminology, dental terminology, and ICD-10 coding systems. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients and healthcare providers. Experience with NextGen software is preferred but not required. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated to complete tasks independently.
