Full Job Description Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and professional Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our patients, the Front Desk Receptionist plays a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth flow of operations.
Duties:
- Assisting in open and close of the office each day, according to protocol
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanor at both check-in and check-out
- Register new patients and update existing patient information in the system
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff members
- Collect patient payments and process insurance claims
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area
- Assist with various administrative tasks as needed
Skills:
- Proficiency in using MODMED or similar electronic medical record (EMR) systems (preferred)
- Strong patient service orientation with the ability to provide compassionate care
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Previous experience as a surgical receptionist or in a similar role (preferred)
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Familiarity with office equipment such as printers and copiers
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with phone systems and handling high call volumes
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Seeking a reliable, honest, take charge personality.
- Must believe in quality patient experience and possess excellent communication skills
Experience:
- 0-3 years of work experience, preferably in a medical office, retail, or other hospitality industry
- Proven experience with proactive customer service and service recovery
- Applicants should have experience in Plastic Surgery or Dermatology, or another surgical subspecialty. Must live within 30 minutes drive to the office.
