This role is responsible for delivering excellent customer service, managing front desk operations, and ensuring smooth patient flow throughout the office. Duties include scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, collecting payments, and maintaining accurate patient records. The ideal candidate is personable, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Responsibilities Answer Phone calls, schedule and confirm appointments. Check patients in and out, verifying and updating personal and insurance information. Collect co-pays and other payments as needed. Maintain and organize patient records (electronic and paper) Ensure the front desk and waiting area remain clean and welcoming. Communicated with clinical staff to coordinate patient flow. Handle Incoming faxes and emails appropriately. Manage referrals, prior authorizations, and follow-up calls as needed Uphold patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Update patient information in electronic health record (EHR) systems as necessary. Assist in the retrieval of patient files for healthcare providers during consultations or treatments. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication regarding patient information. Participate in audits of medical records to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Skills Proficient understanding of medical terminology and its application within a clinical setting. Familiarity with various medical office systems and electronic health record (EHR) software. Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations regarding patient information. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with healthcare professionals and patients. Problem-solving skills to address discrepancies or issues within medical records efficiently. This position is essential for the smooth operation of healthcare services, ensuring that patient care is supported by accurate and accessible medical documentation.

$17.00 – $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
