The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. The Dental Receptionist will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations at the front desk, contributing to a positive patient experience. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in and check-out process. Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar. Verify patient insurance information and handle insurance claims processing. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with medical administrative support tasks as needed. Utilize dental software systems such as Dentrix, Athenahealth, or Meditech for patient management. Perform 10 key typing for data entry and record keeping. Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services offered. Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming. Qualifications Previous experience in a medical office or dental setting is preferred. Familiarity with insurance verification processes and handling claims is essential. Proficient in using dental software systems; experience with Dentrix, Athenahealth, or Meditech is a plus. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and customer service.
