Position:

Join our team as a Front Desk Receptionist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service both in person and over the phone. As the welcoming face of our medical facility, you’ll ensure a warm and inviting environment for patients and their families. Your responsibilities will include greeting patients, scheduling and confirming appointments, assisting with the check-in and check-out process, and verifying patient information. You will also be tasked with accurately entering and maintaining patient demographic information and handling daily collections on patient accounts in accordance with insurance guidelines. Primary responsibilities:

1. Greet every patient in a friendly and professional manner, obtain accurate demographic information; insurance cards, driver’s license, and consents. 2. Verify all patient demographic information including address and DOB are current and correct when checking insurance eligibility. 3. Ensure proper authorization/ referrals or patient records from other facilities are received and documented. 4. Collect all copays, deductibles, coinsurance, additional fees for services, and any past due balance on the account at the time of service. 5. Schedule follow-up appointments according to physician orders in MDI. 6. Manage walk-in patients per company policy. 7. Answer incoming phone calls, assisting patients, and gathering detailed messages for other office personnel. 8. File faxes appropriately. 9. Assist Medical Records in chart filing. 10. Scanning of patient chart information. What do we look for? 1. Outstanding interpersonal skills, a friendly demeanor, a positive attitude, as well as tact, diplomacy, and patience are essential 2. Office experience is required; experience in a medical office setting is highly preferred 3. Must have the ability to multitask and demonstrate attention to detail 4. Flexibility to be a part of a team in working a rotating schedule, 8 hour shift M-F, within the hours of 7:30am to 5pm (no evenings or weekends!) 5. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. 6. Ability to read and communicate effectively in person and over the phone with patients, supervisors, doctors, and team 7. Empathetic personality giving attention to patients’ needs and concerns. 8. Ability to cross-train to other business office responsibilities 9. Must be mobile in an office environment; frequent standing, sitting, and walking
