Job Summary As a Surgical Coordinator, you will play a key role in guiding patients through their surgical journey—from initial consultation to post-operative care. You will serve as a vital liaison between patients, providers, and insurance carriers, ensuring a smooth and supportive experience at every step. Your attention to detail, clear communication, and empathetic approach will help build the trust and confidence our patients value. This role goes beyond scheduling—it’s about providing reassurance, clarity, and continuity to those undergoing life-changing procedures. You will help set the tone for a positive experience while reinforcing the high standard of care that defines our practice. Duties Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures for patients Communicate with patients regarding pre-operative instructions and respond to questions or concerns Obtain and verify all necessary medical records and documentation for surgical cases Obtain and confirm prior authorizations with insurance companies Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals Manage patient appointments and maintain accurate scheduling records Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding surgical procedures and patient care Support the office with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining patient records

Experience in cosmetic surgery, dermatology, or a related field is a plus, along with a strong interest in aesthetics and patient care. Ability to handle a multi-line phone system and manage a fast-paced office environment with professionalism and empathy. Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is beneficial but not required.

Physical Demands:

The role requires sufficient coordination, manual dexterity, and physical capability to effectively operate medical and office equipment as needed to fulfill the duties of the position or as directed by the Manager. This position may involve prolonged periods of sitting, standing, bending, and stooping. The ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 10 pounds is also required.
