Phone Operator 3.2 3.2 out of 5 stars 110 East Derenne Avenue, Savannah, GA 31405 Optim Orthopedics is seeking a temporary Phone Operator for our Savannah location. This is a 7+ week assignment.

Job Requirement Primary Duties:

Promptly answer all incoming calls within 3 rings in a professional and efficient manner. Using a tone that conveys warmth, empathy and patience. Promptly and accurately transfers and directs all incoming calls. Demonstrates a courteous, friendly and professional demeanor while he/she greets patients, visitors and vendors while answering and routing phone calls. Illustrates efficiency regarding patient and doctor inquiries by responding to their needs in a timely manner. Making appointments when necessary. Entering insurance and demographics when necessary. Scheduling follow-up appointments. Accurately enters all patient demographics and insurance information into the system as required if providing coverage. Maintains a professional demeanor even when callers are upset. Prevents, calms, or defuses irate callers and patients by working with them to properly identify their concerns and direct the call appropriately. Uses proper discretion and judgement when contacting a supervisor if necessary. Provides directions and general information to patients to include the required script for their appointment and provider protocols. Maintains a high level of confidentiality when servicing patients. Performs routine and some non-routine, continuous work involved with the operation of telephone call center. Must have adequate hearing to answer phone and speak with patients in a clear and professional tone and manner. Maintains a knowledge of the practice “phone tree” therefore transferring calls appropriately. May be required to work flexible hours and some weekends. Maintains area of special assignment.
