In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology and experience with insurance verification, ensuring smooth operations within our medical facility. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures. Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare providers. Verify patient insurance information and process necessary documentation. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist in the preparation of care plans and ensure all relevant information is communicated to the medical staff. Handle clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining organized records. Utilize eClinicalWorks software for patient management and documentation. Communicate effectively with patients regarding their inquiries and concerns. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure a seamless patient experience. Skills Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of HIPAA regulations. Experience with insurance verification processes and medical coding is highly desirable. Familiarity with eClinicalWorks or similar electronic health record systems. Strong clerical and administrative skills, including attention to detail and organizational abilities. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients and staff. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. Knowledge of dental terminology is a plus but not required.
