Your Role:
As our Medical Secretary, you’ll play a crucial role in the smooth operation of our practice. You’ll be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring they feel welcome, informed, and cared for from the moment they walk in or call.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Accurately scheduling appointments and managing the doctor’s calendar.
Answering phones, take clear and understandable telephone messages and enter the messages in the EMR system timely and accurately, directing calls, monitoring the fax line when needed.
Maintaining patient records and handling confidential information.
Demonstrates the ability to accomplish the required task in the “Clip Program.” This requires getting specific information outlined on a check list provided by the dialysis unit, to the dialysis unit the patient will be receiving treatment prior to the patient’s start date.
Verifies patient information at each visit and note any changes accurately.
Coordinating with healthcare professionals to ensure excellent patient care.
Works on various projects as assigned by the Practice Manager

Experience:
Minimum of one year in a health care organization.
Skills:
Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Education:
High School diploma/GED.
Requirements:
50 WPM typing skill preferred.
Attention to
Detail:
You never miss a thing when it comes to managing appointments and paperwork.

Knowledge:
Knowledge of office equipment to include phone and computer.
Knowledge of managed care industry, clinic policies and procedures.
Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques.
