Med Tech/Caregiver Senior Fluent 3004 Bunnfield Drive, Zebulon, NC 27597 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality medical care and support to patients, particularly in hospice and senior care settings. This position requires strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and the ability to handle medical documentation while adhering to HIPAA regulations. The Medical Technician will work closely with patients with developmental disabilities and assist with various medical procedures, including tube feeding and home care tasks. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in hospice and senior care environments, ensuring comfort and dignity. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist patients with daily living activities and personal care needs. Administer tube feeding as required, following established protocols. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Monitor patient health status and report any changes to the supervising nurse or physician. Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols. Support individuals with developmental disabilities by providing compassionate care tailored to their needs. Requirements Proven experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred. Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy knowledge. Familiarity with hospice care practices is a plus. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Ability to perform tube feeding procedures competently. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
