S. providing services seven days a week ona walk-in basis. Our state-of-the-art centers focus on the episodictreatment of acute illnesses and injuries, workers’ compensation,and occupational medicine. Each location is equipped with an onsitelab and in-house x-ray capability. AFC is the parent company of AFC Franchising, LLC (AFCF). Thisposition works directly with a franchised business location. Thespecific job duties and benefits can vary between franchises. Job Summary To accurately check patients in and out by verifying insurance,collecting payments, and maintaining patient records and accounts.

Maintain patient flow. Provide positive patient relations. Responsibilities

  • Prepare the clinic for opening each day by reviewing thefacility, opening all systems applications, and preparing newpatient registration packets and required documents
  • Greet patients, provide patients with initial paperwork andobtain copies of insurance and identification cards
  • Register patients, update patient records, verify insuranceaccurately and timely, and check patients out
  • Determine, collect, and process patient payments and addresscollection and billing issues
  • Respond promptly to customer needs, provide excellent customerservice, assist patients with follow-up appointments, and fulfillmedical documentation requests
  • Balance daily patient charges (cash, check, credit cards) againstsystem reports
  • Complete closing procedures by preparing closing documentationand submitting required reports
  • Complete cash control procedures and secure financial assets
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Qualifications High School graduate or equivalent.

Previous medical clericalexperience preferred. Basic computer knowledge, e.g., MicrosoftOffice. Accuracy and detail orientation. Positive customer serviceskills. Well-groomed appearance. Clear and articulate phonemannerisms. Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Must be willing to work 1-weekend day a week.

Compensation:

$15.00 – $20.00 per hour
