In this role, you will perform various independent administrative support tasks along with a wide range of customer service duties. Your responsibilities will include scheduling patients for various appointments, managing multiple calendars, coordinating appointments with other departments, and assisting with limited surgical procedure scheduling. You will also participate in building, analyzing, and coordinating master schedules and other related schedules. Furthermore, you may oversee special projects and/or supervise the work of other staff members, including work-study students, temporary staff, and others. Once fully trained there is opportunity for a hybrid remote and in person schedule. Responsibilities Answers telephone, screens and directs calls, gives directions, and takes messages. Schedules patients, manages calendars, schedules limited surgical procedures, ancillaries, and coordinates deposition scheduling. Maintains, analyzes, and coordinates master and other schedules. Types letters, composes and edits correspondence. Creates forms and spreadsheets, tables, charts, databases and slides. Performs file/record management functions, prepares/constructs charts/departmental patient records, and obtains new medical record numbers. Obtains authorizations and pre-certifications. Conducts on the job training for new staff members. Directs the work of other employees, work study students, floats, temps, volunteers and others. Performs other duties as required or assigned. Qualifications High School diploma with 3 years of administrative support experience or the equivalent required. Proven experience working with the public required. Knowledge of medical terminology may be required. Proficiency in PC word processing, spreadsheets, and Excel, Power Point, MC Publisher software’s. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required. Previous experience working in a medical setting preferred. Required Licensure/Certifications None
