(AMP) , for ColumbiaDoctors, is seeking a Full-Time Front Desk Medical Receptionist/Scheduler. This position is located in Monroe, NY. Ambulatory Medical Practices MSO, Inc. (AMP), for ColumbiaDoctors, is a Management Service Organization (MSO) that provides administrative and clinical support staff for ColumbiaDoctors Medical Group and ColumbiaDoctors of the Hudson Valley. ColumbiaDoctors is one of the largest multi-specialty practices in New York State, comprised of an experienced group of physicians specializing in Cardiology, Vascular Disease, Internal Medicine, Obesity, Podiatry, Gastroenterology, and Endocrinology. Our group is comprised of over 50 Columbia physicians treating patients throughout Westchester, Rockland, and Orange Counties. Our locations include Valhalla, Hawthorne, White Plains, Yonkers, Scarsdale, Suffern and Monroe. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in the day-to-day front end operations of a high volume practice Meet and greet patients and visitors. Assist patient call center, schedule and confirm appointments for office visits and studies Process patient arrivals quickly and efficiently according to office protocols Collect copayments and time of service payments. Secure and record all types of monies collected throughout the day in accordance with guidelines Responsibilities include verifying and updating patient information and insurance eligibility, insurance eligibility and obtaining proper obtain referrals and or authorizations for services prior to visit Verify patient and insurance data is accurately processed through systems applications, electronically, via website or telephone
Education/Experience Required:
High School or Equivalency Diploma required Two (2) years of work experience in the medical field preferred Knowledge of medical insurances (Medicare/Medicaid/Commercial) including referrals and pre-authorizations Adhere to HIPAA compliance & safety measures, securing patient information & confidentiality at all times Excellent customer service and communication skills EPIC experience a plus!
