Dental Office Receptionist II Dental Howard Beach, NY 11414 Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the front desk operations, providing exceptional patient service, and ensuring the smooth flow of office activities. This role requires a strong understanding of medical administrative support, health information management, and familiarity with HIPAA regulations. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and manage their check-in and check-out processes. Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar efficiently. Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding services offered. Process medical collections and assist with billing inquiries. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize Meditech software for patient management and record keeping. Perform medical coding as necessary for insurance claims processing. Assist in managing office supplies and inventory to ensure smooth operations. Support dental staff with administrative tasks as needed, including 10 key typing for data entry. Qualifications Previous experience in a dental or medical office setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of medical collection processes and coding practices. Familiarity with health information management systems, particularly Meditech. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in an office environment. Proficient in 10 key typing and basic computer skills. Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
