Req # 26941 The Unit Secretary helps ensure effective communication, accurate records, and provides exceptional customer service to patients and visitors. Some Specific Duties May Include..
- Answers phone and intercom promptly and courteously. Consistently delivers messages and patient requests to the appropriate staff in a timely manner.
- As the first point of contact for the unit, demonstrates excellent customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Maintains medical records according to hospital policy.
- Assists in quality monitoring of chart documents to include only approved abbreviations, date, time and signature where required. Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalency required.
- Successful completion of AnMed’s Unit Secretary course required.
- Previous experience preferred.
