Dental Front Office DeKalb Dental Center 201 S 3rd St, Smithville, TN 37166 Job Summary We are seeking an professional and friendly Dental Office Assistant to join our team. Monday-Friday, or Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday work schedule options are available. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient support in a busy and well established dental practice.. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental terminology, office management skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding patient care. Duties Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk operations efficiently. Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar. Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding services offered. Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accurate documentation and payment. Verify patient insurance coverage and calculate patient copays. Manage patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the office environment. Utilize dental terminology effectively in communication with patients and staff. Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow and care. Qualifications Proficiency in dental terminology. Experience in office management or clerical roles. Familiarity with Eaglesoft is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Experience as a medical or dental receptionist or in a similar role is advantageous. Familiarity with insurance verification. Competency in 10 key typing for efficient data entry tasks. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. A proactive attitude towards learning new processes and improving office efficiency.
