Medical Receptionist Baptist Eye Surgeons, PLLC 3001 West Andrew Johnson Highway, Morristown, TN 37814 About us: Baptist Eye Surgeons, PLLC Large, fast paced ophthalmology practice. Office is open Monday through Friday, 7:30-5pm. Salary commensurate with experience.

BASIC FUNCTIONS

Answering calls and scheduling appointments. Documenting patient calls and questions in the electronic medical record. Check patients in/out, collect any monies at the time of service is rendered.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Answers multiline phone Schedules appointments and follow ups Documents patient questions and calls Assist in maintaining work area and reception areas Assist in scanning correspondence in appropriate charts Maintains regular and predictable attendance Ensures confidentiality of medical records and patient information Promotes positive interpersonal relationships with fellow employees, physician and patients Enter charges Sends letters as needed to referring physicians & O.D.’s Assist in posting payments Covers for absent employees at Check-in and Check-out Prints itemized statements for patients if requested

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong communication skills
• Performs all job duties in a courteous, effective and professional manner
